Time Your Life Right

One day, an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of high-powered over-achievers he said, "Okay, time for a quiz" and he pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth mason jar and set it on the table in front of him. He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?" Everyone in the class yelled, "Yes." The time management expert replied, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. He then asked the group once more, "Is the jar full?" By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered. "Good!" he replied. He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?" "No!" the class shouted. Once again he said, "Good." Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?" One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it!" "No," the speaker replied, "that's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is, "If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all. What are the 'big rocks' in your life, time with loved ones, your faith, your education, your dreams, a worthy cause, teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these BIG ROCKS in first or you'll never get them in at all. So, tonight, or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question, "What are the 'big rocks' in my life?" Then, put those in your jar first.
If this inspired you, share with others so they can benefit!

Pray For Them

Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running event.
* Ready! * Steady! * Bang!!!

With the sound of Toy pistol,
All eight girls started running.
...
Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps,
When one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down,
Due to bruises and pain she started crying.
When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back.

Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.
One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently And enquired as to how she was..
They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.

Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and walked together towards the winning post.

There was pin drop silence at the spectator's stand. Officials were shocked. Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in appreciation.

Many eyes were filled with tears and perhaps even God's!

YES. This happened in Hyderabad (INDIA) recently!

The Sport was conducted by
National Institute of Mental Health.
All these special girls had come to participate in this event.
They were spastic children.
Yes, They were Mentally Challenged.

What did they teach the WORLD?

Teamwork ?
Humanity. ?
Equality among all. ??

Successful people help others who are slow in learning
So that they are not left far behind.

Life ever thrown you a wild ball?

Something happens that you would never have expected. I guess that's the whole point of calling the "unexpected" a wild ball... huh? It may very well be that it is not the curve ball itself that surprises us, but it is the disappointment from our expectations not being fulfilled.

I believe it is really helpful to remain optimistic with our expectations. I have had some difficulty convincing a buddy of mine that my philosophy is better than his. He has a different approach in regard to his personal expectations. He tells me "I expect the worst, that way I won't end up disappointed with the outcome." He feels thinking in the negative works best for him. Hmmm, I guess I'd rather feel disappointment from time to time than to become a pessimist (psst.. I know he feels disappointment sometimes, never mind what he says).

There is another option. Rather than being optimistic or pessimistic in regard to your expectations why not drop all expectations? I've tried, with limited success, to withhold expectations concerning upcoming events or circumstance. Walking into a situation without any expectation would likely be a better approach to take. Good luck with that! Being without expectations or preconceived notions would likely be more difficult than living a life without judgments or opinions. Our dreams, desires, and needs, get in the way. We naturally have expectations. We want to be in control of our lives. We want to be offered that perfect job. We want our family to support us. We want to be desirable to our partners. We want to be treated fairly. We want, we want, we want, and we want... of course we do.

But, sometimes, there is a greater plan in play. We don't always get what we want, but we always get what is right for us. The wild ball coming our way requires us to duck or dodge, altering our game plan. The rules have changed, our expectations altered once again. We get to see things differently. Sometimes the alternate path offered is a difficult one. Keep your eyes open, there are gems to be found along the challenging and rocky pathways. Remember, your party with fewer guests allowed you to have more intimate conversations, and likely deepened your relationships with those individuals.

Life is good when you let it flow naturally. Expect to get sucked into the river of life without a paddle occasionally, and maybe even get tossed out of the canoe. Learn to swim and go with the flow.

Recipe for happiness

Recipe for happiness:
Brain set points (43%) + condition of living (8%) +   self-actualization (49%)

So, what do you do to create happiness? Since I’ve made this my specialty, I can tell you that there are literally hundreds of things that you can do to create your own happiness. In fact, you can set up your life so that everything you do adds to your happiness, every minute of every day.

Brain Set Point: Both success and failure start in your brain as a thought. Each thought then sets off a cascade of electro-chemical energy in your physical brain. Your related mind-set then determines how you will evaluate and respond to that thought.
Set-points are something like gates that place limits on your thoughts and actions. If you had a painful failure when you once tried to “start a business,” you will likely have a physical set-point that will try to save you from future failure and pain. These set-points are embedded in emotionally-charged neural networks that create your mind-sets, and are at the core of what you feel are your “personal limitations.”

Condition of living: Generally, the context in which an individual lives is of great importance on health status and quality of life. It is increasingly recognized that health is maintained and improved not only through the advancement and application of health science, but also through the efforts and intelligent lifestyle choices of the individual and society.

You can make tour self happy by doing things which give you pleasure and avoiding things that give you pain. Pleasure points can be many like eating chocolates or ice cream. Avoid relations with people which make you nervous.

Mind It .

A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams:"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh !!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh !!!"
Curious, he yells: " Who are you ?"
He receives the answer: " Who are you ?"
Angered at the response, he screams: " Coward!"
He receives the answer: " Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: " What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: " My son, pay attention ."

And then he screams to the mountain: " I admire you!"
The voice answers: " I admire you !"
Again the man screams: " You are a champion !"
The voice answers: " You are a champion !"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: " People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE .
"It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life ;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU.

Thanking You

Ten things to know about Anna Hazare 'n Jan Lok Pal Bill.. !
1. Who is Anna Hazar...e?
An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War
2. What's so special about him?
He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra
3. So what?
This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.
In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.
4. Ok,...?This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.
5. Really, what is he fighting for?
He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.
6. How that can be possible?
He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.
8. It's an entirely new thing right..?
In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).
7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?
The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.
Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.
8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?
A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.
9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?
Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.
10. Ok, got it. What can I do?
At least we can spread the message. How?
Click Like
At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India.
At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.
At least we can pray for his good health.
